From 4th to 8th November, Carew Academy held a Work Experience week for Year 11 students.  The week started with a Work Skills day which involved practice interviews, CV writing and exploring skills needed for different jobs, including a visit from the London Fire Brigade.  On Tuesday, we visited Warner Bros Studios to look at careers in film making and then students carried out work experience placements from Wednesday to Friday.  The work experience placements included Mencap, ASDA, The Royal Mail, Sutton Farm and Carew Academy kitchens. Pupils really enjoyed their placements and learnt a lot form it.  Kai, who did his work experience at the Royal Mail, said “I enjoyed stacking the shelves, sorting the post and sorting out the bags. I feel like I learned a lot and I would like to do this when I am older.”
