World Mental Health Day

To celebrate World Mental Health Day 2019, Carew students took part in at least one activity during their day to promote positive mental health and to develop self-help strategies. The art and photography A-level students visited the THRIVE LDN event at City Hall which linked art activities to positive mental health, and students at school accessed the newly released Every Mind Matters campaign completing the interactive quiz to receive a bespoke set of actions to help improve their mental health and wellbeing.

Others took part in guided meditation sessions, took a mindful walk through the woods and enjoyed physical activity to promote positive wellbeing. One student was so relaxed and pleased, he asked if we could do guided meditation in every lesson!
