Work experience at Orchard Hill College

Sam and Michael, two of our tech-savvy students, spent a week with the e-learning team at Orchard Hill College, using digital animation programmes to create their own original short films.

Using Scratch and Go Animate, Sam and Michael made video games and animations, featuring their own original storylines, characters and scripts.

Michael said the main lesson he took away from the week was ‘why and how games can be educational’. Both students showed flair and creativity with applying their ideas to the technically complex programmes to create truly original work, and showed great promise for careers in the technology.

Sean, Orchard Hill College’s E-Learning Assessor, said they were “really enthusiastic and hard working young men, it was a pleasure having them join our team.”
