Salary: Scale 4/5 £23,350.26 – £26,359.49 per annum inclusive of London Weighting Allowance (FTE £27,849 – £31,438 per annum).

Working Pattern (hours per week, weeks per year): 35.25 hours per week, 8:00am – 3:45pm (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri) and 8.45am – 4.45pm (Weds). Term Time only, 39 weeks per year.
Carew Academy is an outstanding special school situated at the edge of Beddington Park in Wallington. It has 230 students aged 7-18 with a wide range of ability levels and additional learning needs, including complex needs. There are plans for the school to move to a purpose built Free School in 2024.

We are looking for someone with drive, creativity, and a passion for supporting young people to achieve their best. Your background is not important; what is important is that you have high expectations, love a challenge and have a determination to make a difference to the lives of our superb students. You also need to be resilient to work with students who may display challenging behaviour at times.
Our curriculum is different too – our younger students have enrichment activities, which include Rock Climbing, Swimming, Horse Riding, and a huge range of other sports. All our Upper School students take Option Subjects to enrich their learning. We have also just started delivering A-Level Photography and Art in our Sixth Form.
