Carew Academy is a special academy for pupils aged 7-18 with a wide range of ability levels and additional learning needs, including complex special needs.
The school strives to develop the full potential of everyone within its community and is able to provide a broad and wide ranging curriculum, adapted to meet the needs of individual pupils. We are also able to offer pupils other opportunities through life-skills based lessons, residential visits, work experience and access to therapies, including Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Music and Drama Therapy.
Our staff are driven, enthusiastic, and above all, committed to the wellbeing of our pupils.

Your teaching background is not important; what is important is that you have high expectations, love a challenge, and have a determination to make a difference to the lives of our superb students. You will also need to be highly resilient to deal with a wide variety of young people, some of whom display challenging behaviour.
