This week Madrid class continued their day visits with a trip to The Science Museum.
Prior to visiting, the group investigated exhibitions they wanted to visit. A new exhibition called ‘Who Am I?’ seemed a popular choice and fitted in well with the class’ curriculum, as it explores the science of who you are through intriguing objects, artwork, and hands-on, interactive displays. The class enjoyed interactive activities looking at reading body language and exploring how good we are at lip reading.
Best of all, the class enjoyed inputting their surname into a computer and seeing where the population of people with this surname live around the UK.
To top off a wonderful day, the class stopped at Bob Marley’s house in Chelsea where he lived during 1977. We later found out that his London home is one of the few blue plaques for black artists, and that he lived here with his band The Wailers. They recorded many songs here, and when they weren’t recording songs, they crossed Albert Bridge and played football in Battersea Park.
