Trip to Tate Britain

This week, the Middle School and 6th Form Art and Photography students visited the Tate Britain Gallery to admire and seek inspiration from the art of Vincent Van Gogh. The exhibition was titled ‘Van Gogh and Britain’ and exhibited original works of the artist together with works of British artists who were influenced and inspired by the Dutch painter.

Students truly enjoyed the exhibition, they were amazed by the work and learnt to think critically about art. They discussed its meaning and the influence it has on people’s lives. Some students found inspiration for their ongoing projects in Art and Photography. It was a great day out, topped up with a short visit to The Vauxhall City Farm where they saw some of the domestic animals.
