The Big Dig!

By Clair Hill - November 27th, 2025 | Posted in Article

On a very rainy Friday over 50 students at Carew Academy got busy in small groups working on planting a sapling each in the new Woodland Wonders area. By Monday we had planted 70 trees, creating a hedgerow with species that will provide shelter, boost biodiversity and help the land.

The students did a fabulous job and are eager to nurture our trees. Thankyou to everyone that helped and to Carbon Footprint for supplying the saplings. This week we are celebrating National Tree Week where we are learning more about the importance of these amazing giants.

Happy National Tree Week!
