This year, the Art department at Carew Academy submitted students’ artwork and photography to The Royal Academy of Arts in London for their Young Artist Exhibition.
This is student Ronny’s photographic work which has been shortlisted and considered for the exhibition. This is a huge achievement as entries were received from the whole of the UK.
Ronny’s chemigram (a drawing with chemicals and light) is an abstract, experimental piece of art created using traditional light-sensitive black and white photographic paper, two chemicals, developer and fixer. This process is part of Carew’s darkroom and traditional photography curriculum.
Huge congratulations to our talented student!
