Sutton Primary Panathlon

On 30th January, the Sutton Schools Primary Panathlon event was held at Sutton Sports Village. For this event, we entered two teams from Rome and Brasilia classes to take part in adapted multi sport events such as Boccia, New Age Kurling and co-ordination activities in order to gain points for their teams. All students showed amazing progress and determination. We were particularly proud of how they supported their team, which is something the organisers commented on. Every student was awarded a certificate and a medal and should be really proud of their efforts.

Alongside this, there were also 13 students in attendance from Carew Academy, who acted as Sports Leaders to the Panathlon itself. These students are on either the Duke of Edinburgh Award or our Sports Pathway and they had the opportunity to lead numerous events to students with SEN across the entire Borough. The students did us proud and continue to grow their confidence within the field of Sports Leaders. In particular, Arthur and Kieran were highlighted as positive leaders that could be used as part of the Panathlon finals. Fantastic work boys!
