At Carew Academy we understand that parents/carers need to be involved in their children’s education.
Students from Reykjavik class took part in a ‘Smells and Feelings’ workshop run by Sutton’s Heritage Centre. Our students really enjoyed identifying different smells, learning about lavender, and making their own lavender bags. Feedback from our students included, ‘lavender made me feel good’, ‘it made me feel calm’, ‘it made me feel happy’, ‘chilled and calm’ and ‘I think we should grow lavender at Carew’ and the staff definitely agreed.
