Sixth form students enjoy Ambulance Service visit as part of National Careers Week

Students enjoyed a fantastic presentation by Emma, our visiting Ambulance service paramedic with us as part of our National Careers Week celebration. She spoke with passion to our sixth form students, and selected students from around the school who have a passion for emergency services! She described the skills, both essential skills that are careers specific, such as communication, but also life skills, such as remaining calm under pressure. We all discussed potential career paths for getting into the emergency services, including different job roles, potential qualifications, and how young people with SEND can absolutely fulfil an exciting career path.
