Sixth Form College Disability League

On 15th January, 9 Sixth Form students had a fantastic time at Wimbledon Goals for the College Disability League.

They played seven games of football and won four of them playing outstanding football! LY was consistently brilliant and JW, who was the goalkeeper, scored a cracking free-kick and his team talk tactics were quite influential on the team’s overall performance. On one occasion, he left his semicircle and took the ball past three opponents only to be denied by the opposition’s keeper.

LW played in Team 1 and 2 and showed great commitment on and off the pitch. Every single one of our students showed faultless team spirit and resolve during the matches. Each of the games were delightful to watch as a spectator and they all deserve a merit for their sportsmanship and for being great ambassadors for Carew Academy.
