Carew Academy fell silent for 2 minutes, at 11am today, to commemorate members of the armed forces who have died in the line of duty. Students were invited to wear their Cadet or Scouting Uniforms as they stood in contemplation. Howard Hutchins played the Last Post on his trumpet during the silence. As always, students observed the 2 minutes with the appropriate reverence and wore their poppies with pride.
