Red Nose Day Talent Show

Carew has got talent – that’s the strong message from the 25 acts that performed on stage on Friday as part of the school’s Comic Relief charity fund raising events.

Everything from magic, dancing, rapping, djembe drums and animation was on show to the whole school as student after student showed their varying talents.

Head Teacher John Prior introduced each act who was brilliantly supported by the staff, and using new production equipment such a roving microphones, were able to be heard in every corner of the vast school hall.

And just to make sure that no opportunities were lost students also worked on their maths skills by  adding up the scores from each of the three judges to work out the top 3 spots. Mr Prior then took to the stage to announce the top 3 acts – Alexander on the clarinet in 3rd place, Tariq and Elijah in second place with their dancing act, and in first place were Aaron and Janelle who sang “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” from the school’s upcoming production of The Lion King.

Well done to everyone involved, it was a brilliant afternoon that made us all proud of the array of skills and talents at Carew students.

Carew is an amazing school for our son, he now shines academically and his social skills are outstanding since being part of Carew.  Most of all they understand his needs and support him daily.
