We are open and, in accordance with government guidelines, we are working to gradually increase the number of students who can return to school safely over the summer term.

As always, we are here to support you, if you have any queries please contact us. Best wishes, Rob Watkins, Principal

Post-Orchestra Unwrapped Workshops

As a part of the concert at Royal Festival Hall on Thursday 27th February, Carew students had a post-concert workshop with musicians from the Philharmonia Orchestra.

On Friday 28th February, a trumpeter, cellist and tuba player presented their instruments to Year 7 students. It was a music workshop enabling our students to play together with the instrumentalists, explore sounds and rhythms and even conduct an ensemble of professionals and students. It was a very popular activity boosting the confidence of our students and exposing them to the beauty of classical music.

The most popular instrument was the tuba, whose sound was very impressive and appealed to the musical imagination of Carew’s students.

Well done our young musicians!

Carew is an amazing school for our son, he now shines academically and his social skills are outstanding since being part of Carew.  Most of all they understand his needs and support him daily.
