On Thursday 27th February, Year 7 students attended a classical concert at the Royal Festival Hall. It is an annual event organised by the Southbank Centre called ‘Orchestra Unwrapped’.
Carew students had an opportunity to participate actively and sing together a specially composed song for that event with the rest of the audience and the orchestra. The programme of the concert was very engaging, featuring work of Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring. Students enjoyed the day out listening to the Philharmonia Orchestra, one of the top British ensembles.
We also had some time before the concert to stroll on the Southbank enjoying the beautiful views.
