On the 11 November, Year 7 attended the Orchestra Unwrapped concert at the Royal Festival Hall where they experienced music performed by Philharmonia Orchestra. The theme this year was Human/Nature – they explored humanity’s relationship with our fragile natural world through music. Students got to hear Rimsky-Korsakov’s frantic Flight of the Bumblebee, atmospheric pieces from Beethoven and pieces from living composer Dai Wei, and even a touch of Disney magic in “How Far I’ll Go” from Moana.

It was a great day filled with classical music.
