Music Trip

On Friday 1st February, the middle school options Music group went to St. Luke’s Hall in London to see the London Symphony Orchestra’s (LSO) percussion ensemble.  The group had the opportunity to hear music like they had never heard before. The LSO ensemble played a selection of minimalist jazz compositions performed on the piano, vibraphones and marimbas! The group was also lucky enough to see a world premiere performance of a piece by a jazz composer. The students were enthralled by the music and everyone had a great day out. We were so proud of everyone’s behaviour throughout the concert and we look forward to being able to take the group to another one of the LSO’s concerts later in the year.

The school is making such a difference to the lives of our young people. I am immensely proud of all that you are achieving.

Cllr Ruth Dombey, Leader of Sutton Council
