Mental Health Awareness Week

To celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week 2022 we took time during classes and school assemblies to look at the theme of ‘loneliness’.
In RSHE, classes thought about why we might feel lonely, how it feels, and what we can do to overcome it. We also discussed how we can support our friends when they are feeling lonely.
Dublin class discussed some myths associated with loneliness such as whether technology and social media makes loneliness worse? We had a good debate as to why social media can make you feel lonely and disconnected, although it can also be used to help people connect to others.
