Mental Health Awareness Week 2023
This week in RSHE and tutor times we have focused on Mental Health Awareness Week 2023, with the theme being anxiety. Anxiety is a normal emotion in us all, but sometimes it can get out of control and become an issue. Lots of things can lead to feelings of anxiety; exam pressures, relationships, starting a new job, or other big life events.
Focusing on anxiety for this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week helps us to become aware and understand anxiety by providing information on the things that can help prevent it from becoming a problem, as well as looking at ways it can be made easier to manage. Lexie, year 7 created a poster which highlights great ways in which we can manage feelings of anxiety.
This week Anna Freud released a new video on anxiety, check it out below and remember, if you need to talk, staff at school are always available to listen.
