Students from the 6th form at Carew Academy were lucky enough to go on a trip to the Horniman Museum. We took a short bus trip to West Croydon, followed by a long wait for a train (some of us got annoyed and tired of the wait!) But, when we arrived there was just so much to see!
The Horniman Museum and gardens is a museum of variety! Not only does it house historical ornaments like stuffed animals and human and animal skeletons – all kinds of musical instruments old and new, historical artefacts from all around the world are also on show.
We looked around the natural history area at the Museum where we saw all kinds of species of birds and other animals, even some from the ocean. Then we went to the wide open outside area of the Museum and had our lunch. We ended our trip with a look at the farm zoo enclosure and had a walk around the lovely gardens.
