Carew Academy will be closed to students on Thursday 5th and Friday 6th December, due to a gas leak on Church Road. This means we have no heating or hot water on site and we are unable to cook. We plan to reopen on Monday 9th December. Further details will be provided on the website, by e-mail and by text message.

Lower School Historical People Day

To celebrate the end of Lower School’s Autumn 1 theme of famous historical people, we had a dress-up day on the last day of half term.

Students and staff did a fabulous job with their costumes and it was wonderful to see so many famous people from history spending the day at Carew Academy.  Visitors included Neil Armstrong, Rosa Parks, Nelson Mandela, Florence Nightingale, Tim Peake, Amy Johnson, Emily Pankhurst, King Henry VIII and Albert Einstein, to name but a few!

The school is making such a difference to the lives of our young people. I am immensely proud of all that you are achieving.

Cllr Ruth Dombey, Leader of Sutton Council
