Lights, Cameras, Action!

A film crew from Channel 5 News visited Carew Academy to film students and staff sharing the impact Sir David Attenborough has had on them and their school community.
Our school has a special connection with Sir David. In 2024, students created a huge piece of artwork to celebrate his 98th birthday, and Sir David kindly sent a handwritten note thanking them for their incredible work.
To mark his 100th birthday, we created a new legacy portrait of our favourite environmentalist, which is surrounded by pictures of students favourite animals.
Students revelled in having a TV film crew in school and were eager to get involved in every aspect of the production. They proudly shared their favourite Sir David broadcasts, from Blue Planet to Dinosaurs it was an incredible experience and they did themselves proud!
Happy 100th Birthday Sir David Attenborough!!
