Leavers Celebrations

We were very sad to say goodbye to our Year 11 and Year 13 students last week.

Although we were unable to hold a traditional Prom, due to COVID restrictions, students were invited to attend a Leavers’ Celebration event.

Students arrived to have their photos taken on the red carpet and then enjoyed canapes whilst attending a leavers’ ceremony. Here, we celebrated their many achievements and enjoyed sharing memories of their time at Carew. After this, students enjoyed a festival style event including a BBQ, outdoor games and music. They were then surprised by the arrival of an ice cream van, which definitely brought smiles to many faces!

Whilst we are sad to see many students leave to go on to pastures new, we look forward to welcoming many of our Year 11 students back to the Sixth Form in September.

We would like to say a huge thank you to our Parent Governor, Mrs Butcher, who helped organise much of the events as well as the numerous staff who helped plan, shop for, cook, and support on both days.
