SEND and Local Offer

Carew Academy meets the needs of a range of students education needs. We see the progress and well-being of our students as the responsibility of every member of staff within our school. Please find below key information regarding SEND at our school.

SEND Policy – the SEND Policy sets out the principle and aims of the school’s SEND arrangements.

SEN Information Report – the SEN Information Report outlines the school’s provision for students with SEN. The report is based on: Section 69(2) of the Children and Families Act 2014 and regulation 51 and schedule 1 of the Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014 and section 6 of the Special educational needs and disability code of practice: 0 to 25 years.

Local Offer- Sutton Local Authority’s Local Offer provides information on services for children and young people with SEN in their borough. Carew Academy is a key part of Sutton’s Local Offer.

Carew is an amazing school for our son, he now shines academically and his social skills are outstanding since being part of Carew.  Most of all they understand his needs and support him daily.
