Junior Citizenship Workshop

This week, our Year 7 students in Accra, Belfast and Rome classes had the wonderful opportunity to visit Sutton Library for an engaging citizenship workshop. They enjoyed learning about staying safe and healthy, with insightful sessions from key community figures, including the Metropolitan Police, the Fire Brigade, and community nurses. From healthy eating tips to cycling safety and emergency procedures, it was a truly informative morning. We were especially proud of our students’ exemplary behaviour and enthusiasm throughout the visit.

Ricky from Accra class had this to say about the trip…

On Thursday we went to Sutton and we had an amazing time at Sutton Library. I think everyone’s favourite part was the Transport for London bus because we got to pretend to be the drivers. We learnt to close the door when there’s a fire and to stay low to save your life because 2 or 3 breaths of smoke could make you pass out. We also had a talk about ‘Dr ABC’ and we were the only school there who already knew what it meant! I give the trip a 9 out of 10, I recommend it if you don’t know much about keeping you and your family and friends safe and healthy. I would recommend this for ages 8-15.

Well done, Ricky, what a brilliant report!
