Job Description

Carew Academy is a Good school, with an outstanding judgement for Behaviour and Safety, for pupils between the ages of 7 and 19 who have moderate learning difficulties or a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. To support staff wellbeing we have ‘Wellbeing Wednesdays’. Each half term we have a Wellbeing Wednesday – before Easter we had a Selfie Easter Egg Hunt and at the end of the summer we hold our Family BBQ!  Carew has recently had its application to build a brand new school building approved, so this is an exciting time to be joining us with an increasing pupil roll and lots of opportunities for career development within our wider family of Orchard Hill College and Academy Trust.

Person Specification

We are looking for someone with drive, creativity and a passion for supporting young people to achieve their best. Your background is not important; what is important is that you have high expectations, love a challenge and have a determination to make a difference to the lives of our superb students.

As a Lunchtime Supervisor you will actively engage with students, supporting them in collecting and eating their lunch, and helping them to interact positively with each other whilst eating.  You will be responsible for keeping the dining area clean and tidy and clearing the hall at the end of lunch service.

In addition, after lunch you will be required to undertake light cleaning duties, including cleaning the staffroom fridges, sink and microwaves and refreshing other areas of the school.
