Jamie’s Farm Adventure

By Clair Hill - September 27th, 2024 | Posted in Article

On Monday 23 September, 10 brave year 11 students embarked on an adventure at Jamie’s Farm in Monmouthsire, Wales.

They left their mobile phones, computers games & TVs behind and set off for a week of the great outdoors, working on a farm and exploring nature.

Students spent the week looking after the animals, feeding, cleaning and caring for them. They cooked all their own meals from scratch, including cooked breakfasts, pizzas, roast dinners, apple crumble, cookies & chocolate brownies.

Long countryside walks took place every afternoon, visiting local landmarks, waterfalls and mountains – not even the torrential Welsh rain could stop us!

They enjoyed discussions about their experiences on the farm, their wellbeing, education and aspirations.

Everyone had a fantastic week and they should all feel proud.
