Inclusive Schools League – Summer Term Fixtures

This week saw the penultimate fixtures of the academic year and the Carew boys were eager to get going.

One of the new additions to the KS3 A-team saw us take the lead in our first game of the day against Nightingale Community Academy. ZD with an instinctive finish meant the Carew boys took a 1-0 lead. We thought we would be finishing the game with zero points after two quick succession Nightingale goals. However, AE popped up with a great finish to share the spoils.

We started the second game slow, which saw us punished as Sunnydown took a 1-0 lead. However, the team was not feeling sorry for themselves and the resilience kicked in, which meant we were able to hit back with two quick succession goals from RT and AE. There were a few late scares as Sunnydown were pushing for an equaliser but Carew managed to hold on for the 3 points.

Our third matchup would see us play a very strong Grafham Grange team; the goal machine AE scored his third goal of the morning to put is in front just on the halfway mark. However, after some slack defending the Grafham Grange striker found himself in on goal, but two fantastic saves from VF kept the score at 1-0. Just when thought the danger had been averted Grafham Grange managed to bundle over the line to tie the score.

Carew is an amazing school for our son, he now shines academically and his social skills are outstanding since being part of Carew.  Most of all they understand his needs and support him daily.
