We are open and, in accordance with government guidelines, we are working to gradually increase the number of students who can return to school safely over the summer term.

As always, we are here to support you, if you have any queries please contact us. Best wishes, Rob Watkins, Principal

Get Active for Mental Health

From 18th to 24th May, Carew Academy will be showing their support for Mental Health Awareness Week. This year’s theme is ‘kindness’ which can mean being kind and showing compassion to others, but also to ourselves!

Our PE and RSE departments are joining forces to launch a movement challenge whilst also fundraising for The Mental Health Foundation.

We know this can be a challenging time for a lot of people, which is why physical activity doesn’t have to be strenuous – you can walk, do the gardening or even bake if that’s what you feel comfortable doing. Whatever your physical ability, we want you all to feel included. This challenge is for everyone!

We will be including different physical activity ideas on the Home Learning page of the website. Please send your tutors any physical challenge that you take part in! We would love to see how you have got involved.

Finally, we know how important mental health is for our overall wellbeing and in these challenging times it can be hard to understand how and why we are feeling certain ways. The Mental Health Foundation are a great charity and any donation big or small can help them champion good mental health for all.

Please see below our community photos of physical activity for this good cause!

Carew is an amazing school for our son, he now shines academically and his social skills are outstanding since being part of Carew.  Most of all they understand his needs and support him daily.
