In addition, we have organised whole school Science Days in collaboration with the Science Museum and work closely with a wide range of local businesses to arrange work experience placements for our Upper School and Post 16 Students.
Subjects also host their own events to show their curriculum being applied in real-life situations and with a different practical context where possible. Maths holds 2 or 3 events every year to celebrate the importance of Maths knowledge in everyday life including dedicated Number Day events and enterprise fairs.
Theme Days
Carew Academy hold whole-school ‘Theme Days’ approximately every term linked to an aspect of the Humanities subjects (Religious Education, History and Geography). These have a strong focus on practical, hands-on activities and experiences. This enables us to provide high quality learning in those important subject areas, delivered through memorable and fun learning experiences.
