Carew gets Enterprising!

As part of the RSE curriculum this half term, tutor groups focused on setting up mini Enterprises selling a variety of products including wax melts, badges, Christmas decorations, cookies and many more! Students got stuck-in developing work skills such as team building, business structures, and learning about production and advertising.

Madrid class, a Sixth Form Skills for Life group made Christmas wax melts. The range of aromas were stunning and they used different technology such as stop motion videos and Canva posters to promote their products. They made a profit totalling £62 which the students will choose how to spend next term. They are already thinking about making wax melts for Valentine’s Day!

Congratulations to Ottawa who made £40 selling Gingerbread men, and Canberra class who made £16 profit on their bespoke reindeer decorations.

Happy Christmas everyone!

Carew is an amazing school for our son, he now shines academically and his social skills are outstanding since being part of Carew.  Most of all they understand his needs and support him daily.
