Carew Academy Students Enjoy Inspiring Jamie’s Farm Residential

A group of twelve brave explorers set off earlier this month on the adventure of a lifetime to Jamie’s Farm in Monmouthshire, Wales.

They lived together on a real working farm for the week, feeding, mucking out and caring for the animals, while cooking all their own food from scratch. During their stay, students worked hard on the farm, fixing fences, planting trees and harvesting crops.

The group also enjoyed exploring the beautiful Welsh countryside, climbing mountains and crossing valleys. Despite a very wet week in February, the weather did not dampen their spirits.

The students were amazing ambassadors for Carew Academy throughout the trip and made the school incredibly proud.

It was a memorable experience that allowed them to develop confidence, resilience and teamwork while enjoying life on a working farm.
