Carew Academy shares expertise at regional ARC conference
Carew Academy was proud to be represented at the Attachment Research Community (ARC) London, South & East Regional Conference, where Principal James Kearns joined an expert panel to share the school’s expertise in relational practice and inclusive education. The conference brings together education professionals from across the region to explore effective approaches that support the engagement, wellbeing and success of children and young people.
As one of ARC’s Regional Learning Hubs, Carew Academy plays an important role in supporting schools and organisations to develop relational approaches that place positive relationships at the heart of education. James’s invitation to speak as part of the expert panel reflects the academy’s commitment to sharing best practice and helping to shape high-quality provision across the wider education sector.
The event also marks another significant milestone for the academy, with Carew Academy shortlisted for the prestigious ARC Alex Timpson Award. The award recognises schools and settings that demonstrate outstanding attachment-aware and trauma-informed practice, celebrating organisations that have made a significant impact through their relational approach. Winners will be announced later today.
James Kearns, Principal of Carew Academy, said:
“We are incredibly proud to be recognised both through our invitation to contribute to this important regional conference and by being shortlisted for the Alex Timpson Award. At Carew Academy, we believe strong, trusting relationships are the foundation of learning, and we’re committed to sharing our experiences so that more children and young people can benefit from relational approaches.”
Everyone at Carew Academy wishes James and the team the very best of luck for the Alex Timpson Award announcement and looks forward to continuing to work alongside colleagues across the region to champion relational practice in education.
