Athletics Round-Up

Another year and another fantastic Athletics event, Carew brought 30 students to this year’s SSSSA summer event, each year this events gets better and better and our students try their hearts out. We could not be prouder of the effort put in by each and every one of them, out of the 9 schools that participated Carew came out on top finishing with an impressive 25 medals between them including 10 Gold medals. Highlights of the day came from the Key stage 4 relay race with Carew expected to take Silver but came out with Gold. Some fantastic Individual efforts that are worth mentioning Archie in the 100/400m race taking gold in both, Poppy storming in with an impressive gold medal in all her throwing events Emily doing the a same and Vierra taking gold in both High jump and silver in the long jump. Every single one of our students came away with some form or medal showing everyone truly what we can do. A fitting way for Carew to sound of the year. Well done to all present.
