This week, students had the opportunity to visit The Royal Academy of Arts and view ‘The Summer’ exhibition. On Monday, GSCE and A-Level Art and Photography students admired the broad variety of art on show and were truly inspired by what they saw. The visit gave them plenty of ideas for future projects. After the feast for the eyes, they enjoyed lunch in St James’ Park and got to see Buckingham Palace. On Tuesday, KS2 students visited the exhibition too. They appreciated it just as much as their older peers and were particularly taken by the sculptures. One student, teamed up with a visiting artist to sketch, it was lovely to see them immersed in their talent. The visit was a great experience for our budding young artists.
