On 27th January, Year 9 students from Abuja class were in attendance at Croydon Crown Court.
As part of their ‘Democracy and The Law’ RSHE studies the students were given the opportunity to tour the court rooms with the clerks and be introduced to a judge. They were able to ask questions and participate in role-play scenarios as well as dress up in the wigs and gowns.
They were given information about how the law works, the type of cases held in court and also some recommendations of programmes to watch that were filmed at the court.
It was an excellent day with exceptional behaviour from our Year 9’s – well done!
