Cross Country

A Carew Academy Cross Country was held on Friday 30th November as the latest initiative to promote physical activity. Over 160 students took part and it was fantastic to see so much effort put in by all the students. The Cross Country was split into 3 categories (short: ½ mile, medium 1 mile and long 2 miles). All students that completed a cross country achieved a merit for their house. Then the top 10 in each category got extra points for their houses. Kieran Lewis’s hard work at ParkRuns paid off as he achieved a fantastic result of 13.15 in the long race, Bailey Martin finished 1st in the medium race, whilst Archie Enns won the short race. This is now to be a termly event whereby students will have the opportunity to beat their times. Click here to read the full results.

The school is making such a difference to the lives of our young people. I am immensely proud of all that you are achieving.

Cllr Ruth Dombey, Leader of Sutton Council
