🏆Carew Academy wins ARC South East Alex Timpson Award🏆
Everyone at Carew Academy is celebrating after the school was named the winner of the Regional South East Alex Timpson Award, presented by the Attachment Research Community (ARC) in recognition of outstanding relational and attachment-aware practice.
The award celebrates schools that place relationships at the heart of education, creating environments where children and young people feel safe, understood and supported to achieve their full potential.
This prestigious recognition reflects the dedication, compassion and expertise of the entire Carew Academy team. Through a therapeutic, relationship-centred approach, staff work every day to build trusting relationships that enable pupils to develop confidence, resilience and a love of learning.
Principal James Kearns, who accepted the award on behalf of the school, said:
“This is an incredibly proud moment for our whole school community. Winning the Regional South East Alex Timpson Award is wonderful recognition of the therapeutic, relational approach that underpins everything we do. It validates the commitment, care and expertise of our entire staff team, who work tirelessly every day to ensure every pupil feels safe, valued and able to succeed.”
The award was presented during the ARC London, South & East Regional Conference, where James also joined an expert panel to share Carew Academy’s expertise as an ARC Regional Learning Hub. The invitation to contribute to the conference, together with this award, highlights the school’s reputation for excellence in relational practice and its commitment to supporting and influencing practice across the wider education sector.
Congratulations to James and every member of the Carew Academy team on this fantastic and richly deserved achievement. This award is a wonderful recognition of the positive impact their unwavering commitment has on the lives of the children and young people at Carew Academy every day.
