The Big Bang Science Fair

We are always looking for ways to bring our learning to life, so we were extremely excited for pupils from Years 9 and 10 to attend their first STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) event and take part in a range of interactive activities.

“The Big Bang Science Fair” hosted by Sutton Grammar School was an excellent event that pupils really enjoyed and engaged in. They were fascinated to find out about meteorites and even got the chance to touch some. They particularly liked creating rocket cars and building with Macanno.

There was lots for them to hear, see and explore. They also took part in a quiz about the use of computers in everyday life and one pupil won the school a Raspberry Pi worth £75!

The school is making such a difference to the lives of our young people. I am immensely proud of all that you are achieving.

Cllr Ruth Dombey, Leader of Sutton Council
